Tom O. Kleppesto is a management consultant and senior industry leader with more than 20 years of experience from the ocean industries, including shipping and maritime sectors.
He is currently General Manager of the Maritime Oslofjord Alliance, an umbrella organization representing shipping, maritime and ocean-based businesses across the Oslofjord region. Through this role, he works closely with industry leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers and educational institutions to strengthen collaboration, innovation and long-term competitiveness. He is also a founding partner of Nordic Marine Advisory Group (NMAG) in Tallinn, Estonia. NMAG helps maritime clients turn challenges into opportunities—advancing sustainability, efficiency, and strategic growth.
His professional background includes general management, executive education, talent management, entrepreneurship and innovation, as well as extensive experience with venture capital processes, due diligence and strategic development.
In addition to his executive role, he is an experienced board member and chairman for start-ups, including companies he has co-founded. He brings a strong entrepreneurial mindset, an international perspective and a deep understanding of ecosystem-based value creation.
